The “Hilton” hotel is an innovative spatial and technological intervention in the urban fabric of Belgrade. The object achieves a special solidity of the city block and a new interpretation of the street through a new/traditional loading into the urban matrix. As such, it is contextualized and characteristic both in the typological sense and in terms of form and spatiality. The building is vertically and in-depth spatially and programmatically layered. The envelope integrates the street into the interior space, and on the other side, it opens up public content through its layering and depth. Advanced technological solutions of installation systems contribute to the quality of the entire space and comfort. It is precisely the relationship of individual spaces to the surroundings, to the street, the hall on the ground floor and the restaurant, the inner courtyard, the roof terrace, and even the garage – the utilized potential for this building to become a public place of the city. The “Hilton” hotel project received the “Aleksej Brkić” annual award for the most successfully realized work in the field of architecture for 2018.
