The basic idea is to fit the object into the spatial environment to distinguish the object of the higher education institution as a recognizable and unique benchmark in space. The appearance and shape of the building resulted from the character and function of the building, which houses the Faculty of Geography and the Faculty of Security with their peculiarities. In this regard, the following orientations were achieved: the laboratory part of the faculty is oriented to the northeast, the training rooms are oriented to the southeast, the classrooms are oriented to the southwest, and the administrative units and deans’ offices are on the northwest side.
By introducing two atriums of significant dimensions inside the building, the penetration of sunlight into the building was enabled, which, in addition to the external facade walls, also resulted in a greater number of internal facade walls oriented towards the atriums.
